CAR was hanging out at Jaguar yesterday when we spotted this: the new XKR Goodwood Special – an XKR turned up to 11 to wow the crowds at this weekend's Festival of Speed.Editor Phil McNamara was on hand to soak up the one-off XKR, which points to a harder, faster XKR. General Motors is increasing imports of Chevrolet Spark minicars for sale in the United States following a stronger-than-expected launch here. GM recently upped its order for Sparks from the Korea plant that produces the car, Cristi Landy, marketing director for Chevrolet small cars, told Automotive News. “We've asked for more already,” Landy said Wednesday.
Michigan high school students with dreams of being a car designer have the chance to win themselves prizes and courses at the College of Creative Studies with the launch of a new competition from Chrysler. The Autorama High School Design Competition 2014, which is open to high school students currently attending a Michigan public school, asks entrants to ‘design a vehicle that satisfies the needs of young consumers while remaining eco-friendly'.
